Billing questions
Is there a free plan?
There is a 48-hour free trial with full Athlete features, but no permanent free plan. You add a card to start and are not charged if you cancel before the trial ends. Each connected account costs us Garmin API calls and support, and a permanent free tier would make the Read plan pointless. Read at $4.99/month or $39/year is the lowest-cost option.
What happens when the trial ends?
We email you 8 hours before it ends. If you do nothing, the plan you picked starts and your card is charged. If you cancel first, nothing is charged and your connector pauses; reactivating later takes one click and your Garmin connection is kept for 30 days.
Why do you need a card for the trial?
It keeps the trial honest (one per person) and means your connector keeps working on day three without a gap. You are not charged unless the trial ends with the subscription still active, and the reminder email arrives well before that.
What currency will I pay in?
Prices are listed in USD. Stripe shows and charges the equivalent in your local currency at checkout (AUD, EUR, GBP, NZD, CAD and most others), so there are no foreign-transaction surprises. Garmin Community MCP is an Australian company; Australian customers pay GST on top.
What is the founding-member offer?
The first 250 annual Athlete subscriptions are $49 per year instead of $69, locked for as long as the subscription stays active.
Can I get a refund?
Annual plans have a 14-day no-questions refund. Monthly plans can be cancelled any time and stay active until the end of the period.
Will the price go up?
Existing subscribers keep their price for at least 12 months after any change, and founding members keep theirs permanently.
Can I switch plans?
Yes, from the dashboard, prorated by Stripe. Downgrading from Athlete to Read disables the write tools at the end of the period.
Do I need a paid ChatGPT or Claude plan?
Claude: custom connectors work on the free plan (one connector). ChatGPT: custom connectors need developer mode, which is available on paid plans. Claude Code and Cursor need their own subscriptions.
What counts as a tool call?
Each time the AI calls one of our tools (for example daily_overview or create_workout). A typical question uses one to three calls; a deep "review my month" uses 10 to 20. Almost nobody hits the Read limit of 300/day.
