Terms of service
1. The service
Garmin Community MCP provides a hosted Model Context Protocol server that, at your instruction, reads data from and (on some plans) writes data to your Garmin Connect account, and makes it available to AI clients you connect. We are an independent service, not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Garmin Ltd., OpenAI or Anthropic.
2. Your account and responsibilities
- You must be 16 or older and connect only Garmin accounts you own or are authorised to manage (Coach plan).
- Keep your connector URL and token private. Anyone with it can act as you. Rotate it if exposed.
- Use the service for personal or coaching purposes at human-conversation pace. No bulk scraping, resale of access, or automated loops.
- You're responsible for what your AI assistant does with the tools you enable.
3. Write and delete tools
Athlete and Coach plans include tools that create or modify data in your Garmin account. Delete tools are off by default and permanently remove data when enabled and used. AI assistants can make mistakes. Review what the assistant proposes before confirming. We keep a 90-day audit log of write actions in your dashboard, but we cannot undo changes made in Garmin Connect.
4. Dependence on Garmin
Garmin's official API is not available to us. The service uses the same interface the Garmin Connect mobile app uses. Garmin may change, restrict or block that interface at any time without notice, and Garmin's own terms govern your use of Garmin Connect. We will make reasonable efforts to restore service but cannot guarantee availability or any particular data endpoint. You accept this risk; our remedies are set out in sections 6 and 8.
5. Plans, trial and billing
- Trial: 48 hours of Athlete features, starting when you connect Garmin (and no later than 7 days after signup). A payment method is required to start. You are notified by email at least 8 hours before the trial ends; if you do not cancel, the plan you selected begins and is charged. We may extend trials at our discretion.
- Subscriptions are billed in advance by Stripe, monthly or annually, in your local currency where supported, and renew automatically until cancelled. Taxes (including Australian GST) are added where required.
- Cancel any time from the dashboard; access continues to the end of the paid period.
- Price changes apply to existing subscribers no sooner than 12 months after notice. Founding-member pricing is fixed while the subscription remains active.
6. Refunds
Annual plans: full refund within 14 days of purchase, no questions. Monthly plans: no partial refunds. If the service is unavailable for more than 7 consecutive days because of a Garmin change, you may request a prorated refund for the affected period.
7. Acceptable use
No unlawful use, no attempts to access other users' data, no reverse-engineering our authentication, no use that violates Garmin's, OpenAI's or Anthropic's terms. We may suspend accounts that breach this section.
8. Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided "as is". It is not medical advice; AI output about your health or training is for information only. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of Garmin data. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law where applicable.
9. Termination
You can delete your account at any time. We may terminate for breach with notice, or without notice where required to protect the service or other users. On termination we delete your data as described in the privacy policy.
10. Governing law
The laws of New South Wales, Australia; courts of New South Wales. Consumers in other jurisdictions keep any mandatory protections of their home law, including the Australian Consumer Law where it applies.
11. Changes
We'll email account holders about material changes at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after that date is acceptance.
